Praetora FinanceTerms of Use
Last updated: March 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Service Description
Praetora Finance (“the Service”) is a personal portfolio tracking and Monte Carlo retirement projection tool. The Service allows users to track investment positions, run statistical simulations, and model tax scenarios.
2. No Financial Advice
The Service does not constitute financial advice, tax advice, or investment recommendations of any kind. All simulation results, projections, return estimates, withdrawal calculations, and tax computations are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
The Monte Carlo simulations use statistical models based on historical data and user-defined assumptions. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Actual portfolio performance may differ materially from any simulation output.
You should always consult a qualified financial advisor, tax professional, or other appropriate expert before making any investment, withdrawal, or tax-related decisions.
3. Tax Calculation Disclaimer
The German tax model (Abgeltungssteuer, Teilfreistellung, Günstigerprüfung) and any other tax calculations provided by the Service are approximations that may contain errors. Tax law is complex and subject to change. The Service does not account for all possible tax situations, exemptions, or regulatory changes.
Tax status assignments (e.g., tax-free status for physical ETCs) depend on factors outside our control, including broker-specific WM-Daten coding and prospectus terms. Always verify tax treatment with your broker and tax advisor.
4. Data Accuracy
Price data is sourced from third-party providers (Financial Modeling Prep API) and exchange rates from the European Central Bank. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the correctness, completeness, or timeliness of any data. The Service should not be used as the sole source of truth for portfolio valuations.
5. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access. The Service uses magic link email authentication; you are responsible for the security of your email account. You must not share your login links with others.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose of personal portfolio tracking and financial planning simulation. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the Service or its APIs.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services:
- Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) — Stock/ETF price data and company profiles
- European Central Bank (ECB) — Foreign exchange reference rates
- Resend — Transactional email delivery (magic link authentication)
- Railway — Cloud hosting (EU region)
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of these third-party services.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from reliance on simulation results or tax calculations.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make material changes, you will be asked to review and accept the updated terms upon your next login. Continued use of the Service after accepting updated terms constitutes agreement to the new terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
